About Creating Conversation, LLC
Services
At Creating Conversation, helping individuals who struggle with expressing their thoughts and opinions is the primary mission. In order to achieve this goal, a series of letterboards are used to build purposeful motor movement skills so that spelling or typing can be used as a mode of communication. During each “spelling session,” presuming competence is a priority. Age level lessons are used in conjunction with the letter boards to build the foundational skills toward open, two-way communication.

About Me
I am the mother of two teenage boys, JD and Thomas, of which the younger one struggles with minimally speaking autism. Throughout the past 16 years, I have interacted and engaged with individuals who have disabilities and are challenged with communication differences. While pursuing opportunities to help Thomas with his communication needs, I became introduced to Spelling 2 Communicate. I have been working with and supporting Thomas on the letter boards since the spring of 2021 and am proud of his accomplishments as he is now an “open” speller and types on keyboards for most of his conversation and educational needs. I became a Certified S2C Practitioner so that I can help others find their voices.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from the University of Georgia and a Master’s Degree in International Marketing from Georgia State University. Currently, I live in Charleston, South Carolina with my husband, sons, and two dogs.
